This Easel equals the unwantedness we shared
The combined loneliness from when we're together
There's the phony affection, the hate we made
The mattress we shared when we drank too much
Your eyes piercing through the unaplogetic darkness
our scene is beautiful
to me it is.

i really like the end line.
ReplyDeleteyouuuu should consider writing more.
you're like a big sister to me.
yeah, and you...you're like a baby shrimp to me. And i was trying to keep this post short simply because of the sheer length of the last one. (note: you didn't comment that one). That can only make me believe that my brevity has purpose.
ReplyDelete:) Anti Religious are also conformists. They conform to the Non Religiousness... It is just the other side of the religious coin, also an affirmation like religion is... the only real spirituality is negation, not affirmation...
ReplyDeleteThis poem is typical in the sense that it describes most of what we humans are about...
The word 'Unwantedness' in the first line is the key word from which arises the rest of the poem...
Unwantedness , which leads to loneliness ; a situation where one is wanting & therefore empty ( only an empty person is needy, and thereby arises the desire to possess the other) And where possessiveness is, the affection is bound to be phony. Two lonely people is not loneliness shared; it is loneliness doubled. Loneliness cannot create love, it creates need. Love is not a need, it is a luxury, a tremendous happiness and joyful energy which you want to share. In real love there is no possessiveness.A lonely person cannot love because his need is so much. He clings to the other, tries to possess other because he is constantly afraid of losing the other and becoming alone again, and that very idea makes him miserable. So what he does is possess the other, so totally, that there is no possibility of the other to escape. And the other does the same to him. Hence love becomes miserable, love becomes a domination, politics , an exploitation. This is why lonely people cannot love, they have nothing to give except exploitation, misery which results in hate.
I'm glad you understood the irony of the piece. You are quite good at interpretation. Thanks for your comment.
ReplyDeleteI know your most likely playing devil's advocate (pun intended?). In a sense your right, simply because there are three levels to the question. Either there is no god, there is a deity or multiple deities, or you have no clue. No matter where you want to take a stand, your destined to have a well-blazoned path for you to travel down. Of course there are many gray areas in the matter of believing (Catholicism, Christianity, Wiccan, etc.). But these are all just different ways to believe.
Using this logic we are all conformists when we decide to either take a shower in the morning or not. Some where in the world someone has made the same decision on that issue as you.
I try to keep as undogmatic as possible with my (anti) beliefs and that's why i probably don't view it the same as you. I WANT people to have differing views than me. I just want to offer the views that i have to everyone regardless of if they accept me or the ideas for it. Thx for the comment.
You are right in saying 'my truth cannot become yours' , otherwise it would have been very cheap. Its only scientific truth that can be borrowed and become everyone's property, and thereby theoretical. But the same is not true about religious truth. It has to be discovered and rediscovered by each one of us. Believing in religious truth discovered by others ( Christ, Buddha , Muhammad) does not help. But that is what humanity has been doing: mistaking religious truth for scientific truth. It is not a scientific truth and it can never become a public property. Each Individual has to come to it alone, each individual has to come to it again & again.
ReplyDeleteThen again... belief is theoretical (as contrast to Trust, which is existential). You can change your belief without any trouble, just like you change your clothes ( From a Hindu, you can become a Christian, From a Christian to a Muslim , from a Muslim to an atheist.) there is no problem, because belief is only of the mind. If anything is more convincing, more logical, you can change it, it has no roots in your heart. Belief is like plastic flowers, which though they look like flowers from far, they have no roots, require no care. They are permanent and can remain with you the whole life long , because they were never born they never die. They are manufactured, and unless you destroy them, they will remain. Trust on the other hand has roots and therefore can keep growing. Trust is possible only if you first trust yourself. The most fundamental thing has to happen within you first. If you trust in yourself, you can trust existence. But if you don't trust in yourself, no other trust is ever possible.
And the society destroys trust at the very roots. It teaches you others kinds of trusts ( in the parents, the priest and the politicians) . Society does it deliberately on purpose, because a man who trusts himself is dangerous for the society - a society that depends on slavery, a society that has invested too much in slavery...
The whole humanity has been reduced to mobs by a few power lusty people. Man is allowed to exist only if he compromises with all kinds of nonsense. To tell a child to believe or not believe in God is utter nonsense. God may or may not exist, that is immaterial. But it is nonsense to tell the child because he has not yet felt the thirst, the desire , the longing. He is not ready to search the truth, he is not mature enough to inquire into any kind of reality of God. That affair has to happen someday, but it can only happen when no belief is imposed on him.If he is forced to convert before the thirst has arisen, then his whole life he will live a phony way. That is because he has been poisoned , and every possibility of his own intelligence & questioning has been destroyed... the longing to know never arises in him, because before the question has taken possession of his soul, the answer has already been supplied. Before he is hungry, the food has been forced into his being ; and without hunger, there will be no secretion of juices needed to digest that food. that is why people live like pipes through which life passes like undigested food...
There is danger in Belief.( any kind, in God or in no-God) It makes you feel that you know the truth, and this itself becomes the greatest barrier in the search. Believe or disbelieve, you are blocked, because disbelief is also belief in a negative form. The believer believe it is so. The non believer it is not so. And because both have already settled, without taking the trouble to go and discover it, the deeper is their belief, and the stronger is their belief, the greater the barrier. Thus live all the 'believers' with their own illusions, self created, self sustained. So much are they blinded by their beliefs that they want the truth to conform to it( rather than it being the other way round).
It may be consoling, but never liberating...
I like the way you think. I think to talk about this in real length; i should bring up a new post. Thanks for your insight.
